新加坡正在兴建一座新的国家体育城。体育城将拥有一个55,000座位的体育场、一个6000座位的室内水上运动竞技场以及四万多平方米的商业和零售设施。预计於2014年4月启用。新的体育场兴建的位置为于旧新加坡国家体育场的原址。它将是新加坡体育城的一部分。
这座正在兴建中的体育主场是一座由铁架组成的巨大結構。铁支的数目和纵横交错，让它看起来是蛮震撼的。
